内容介绍 : Alan and his partner Laura, who is also his ex-girlfriend, investigate a serial suicide case. The witness Sugar, a problem girl, insists she saw a mysterious woman commit the murder. Alan and Laura doubt her words. Not long after, Sugar kills herself as well, and a "suicide handbook" is found beside her, making the case more complicated. Alan seeks out Pierre, a former police officer, for assistance. Upon arrival at Pierre's home, they meet Candy, Pierre's girlfriend, who tells them Pierre is in the psychiatry hospital suffering from a nervous breakdown caused by the investigation of such cases. When Alan and Laura find Pierre, he is very excited and seems to guide them in the right direction. Pierre behaves so strange that Alan and Laura become confused and suspicious. Meanwhile, Alan's colleagues ridicule him for having a psychiatric patient as an assistant. While they are looking for the mysterious woman, Pierre suddenly disappears. At the same time, Alan and Laura are dismissed. Alan and Laura return to Pierre's house. On the way, they find Pierre's favorite bookstore. To their surprise, the owner is the mysterious woman - "Granny Lung". Furthermore, they find a "Happy Buddha" like one at Pierre's house, and the "suicide handbook". They decide to watch Granny Lung. While they approach Granny Lung for question, she not only refuses but also traps Laura in committing suicide. Meanwhile, Alan tries to stop Granny Lung in order to save Laura. At that moment, Pierre and Candy suddenly appear and explain the mystery. Candy suffers from cancer. She made a deal with the " Happy Buddha" by persuading people to commit suicide in order to survive herself. However, she fell in love with Pierre and so failed to take his life. Granny Lung also convinced people to kill themselves for the survival of her son. Granny Lung's son dies after falling from a bridge and she goes blind crying for him. Pierre accompanies Candy for the rest of her life. The case is closed.
