内容介绍 :	This is a film based on a historical character, the famous beauty Wong Chiu-kwan, who is called to the palace by the Han emperor. However, Wong loves scholar Lau Man-lung and gives him money to go to the capital to sit for the imperial examination. Wong is forced into the emperor's palace when a villainous minister, Mo Ting-sau, frames her father on a false charge. To win her father's freedom, Wong enters the palace. Yet, she does not win the emperor's favour because Mo has shown the emperor a false portrait of Wong done as an ugly woman. Later, the emperor comes across Wong by chance. He listens to her playing the pipa, and sees her as a real beauty for the first time. When Mo's scheme is found out, he flees to the barbarian kingdom and plots with the barbarian king to invade China. The emperor is forced to deliver Wong to the barbarians as a gift. To save the kingdom, Wong goes to the barbarians . Her lover, Lau Man-Lung, says farewell as the leaves her country.
