内容介绍 :	The Chin's family is wealthy but few in numbers. Grandson Sau-shun is the only son and he gets married to Yuek-mui who encounters great difficulties giving birth to her first born. However, instead of inviting a physician, the grandfather invites an exorcist to heal Yuek-mui. As a result the baby dies prematurely, and Yuek-mui cannot give birth anymore. The grandfather forces Sau-shun to have cousin Yuet-wah as concubine and to expel Yuek-mui from the family . Sau-shun rejects and he leaves the family together with Yuek-mui. There is rumour of ghost in the village. The villagers think that it is related to the incident of the madwoman 20 years ago. In order to have Yuet-wah married to Sau-shun, Yuet-wah's parents take advantage of the situation and commit murder and frame it on Yuek-mui. Yuek-mui indeed is the daughter of the madwoman, so the villagers are going to burn Yuek-mui to death. Sau -shun follows Yuek-mui to the temple and discovers that her mother is still alive. She is mad because she gave birth to a girl. Yuek-mui is arrested and Sau-shun is brought back home but fortunately Yuet-wah is released by Sau-shun secretly. He rushes to look for Yuek-mui and her mother and points out that the villagers are feudalist. Finally, detective Lau discovers that the murderers are in fact Yuet-wah's parent. Sau-shun leaves with Yuek-mui and her mother, leaving the grandfather alone.
