内容介绍 :	Hon Seong-tsi, who, at nine years of age, is betrothed to the daughter of Minister Lau, Sau-yam. Seong-tsi's uncle, Hon Yu, sends a relative , Kin Chung, to represent him during the betrothal ceremony and entrusts Kin Chung with a precious jade which is to be given to Seong-tsi as a gift. On the day of the betrothal, the jade is stolen by the servant, Ngau Hoi. The theft is discovered by Seong-tsi's father Sap-yee Long. Ngau Hoi is expelled from the household and vows revenge on the Hon family. Ngau Hoi becomes a bandit. Later, Sap-yee Long falls ill. Before he dies, he reminds Seong-tsi not to get married so soon. As a result of grief from her husband's death and harrassment from Ngau Hoi, Seong-tsi's mother also falls ill and dies. Left alone, Seong-tsi decides to go to his uncle Hon Yu in the capital. During his journey, Seong-tsi is ambushed by Ngau Hoi but is saved by a couple of Taoist monks. The years pass, Seong-tsi is now a grown man and is urged by Hon Yu to marry Sau-yam. Their marriage starts off on an unhappy note, with Hon Yu avoiding Sau-yam. Distraught, Sau-yam seeks to end her life but s persuaded by Hon Yu's wife to make Seong-tsi a winter coat. Sau-yam presents Seong-tsi this winter coat and from then on, their love grows.
