内容介绍 :	Mr Sardine is a shopkeeper in a supermarket. He is not smart, but concentrates on working hard. His superior and fellow workers like making a fool of him. In order to fight for authority in the company, his superior promotes Sardine to assistant manager, leading to jealousy by other experienced colleagues. Because of poverty, Sardine always buys bargains from his supermarket. One day, the property owner, Madam Pei, forces Sardine to move out of his flat. Meanwhile, Sardine's girlfriend forces him to marry and buy a new flat. Receiving some anonymous threatening letters, Sardine becomes very anxious. Having argued with her daughter Anna one night, Madam Pei vents her anger on Sardine. Later she dies from taking too much drugs and alcohol at Sardine's home. Sardine is so scared that he looks for places to hide the dead body. Finally, he hides it in his home. Knowing that Anna has reported her mother's disappearance to the police, Sardine loses his mental balance. One day, Anna goes to Sardine's home and discovers her mother's body. With no alternative, Sardine imprisons Anna and explains the details to her. Anna begins to understand Sardine and they become friends. The police come to investigate the case of anonymous threatening letters. Sardine is suspected of distributing the letters because he has a guilty conscience. In anger, Sardine injures a policeman and imprisons him. The police then break into Sardine's home and finally he jumps from the balcony.
