内容介绍 :	Seventh Uncle is a rich miser who wields an iron hand at home. His son is in love with dancehall hostess Pak Ling. In order not to be looked down on, she gives up her career to marry him, and promises to borrow $5000 from friends to help her lover set up business. However, a thief snatches her purse, which finds its way in the hands of Seventh Uncle. After reading Ling's advertisement in the newspapers seeking her purse, Seventh Uncle calls on her and is immediately bewitched by her charm and beauty. Taking advantage of Seventh Uncle's feelings with her, she intends to acquire the sum by hook or by crook. However, Seventh Uncle is steadfast in his miserly ways and proposes a condition. If she wants the money, she must give herself to him. She pretends to consent.The next day, Seventh Uncle is all dressed up but this arouses his wife's suspicions. Hence, she follows him to Ling's home. After receiving the money from him, Ling passes the money to his son. Seventh Uncle proposes that they go to the theatre, but the sudden appearances of his wife and their son finally make things clear to the old man. He discovers that Ling is in fact his future daughter-in-law. (Extracted from the film handbill.)
