内容介绍 :	During the early Tang dynasty, Sit Yan-kwai is a young man of preternatural abilities in martial arts. He lives with sworn brother Wong Mau-sang, making a living as a woodcutter. One day, he is noticed by Kam-fa, daughter of Commissioner Lau of Lau Village. Kam-fa is immediately attracted to Yan-kwai. Commissioner Lau orders major constructions to be carried out in his village. One day, Yan-kwai sees Lau's foreman mistreating the workers and humiliating his junior colleague, Chow Ching . Yan-kwai becomes angry and fights the foreman. Admiring Yan-kwai's courage, Commissioner Lau makes him the new foreman.In the winter, Kam-fa presents some winter clothes to Yan-kwai but this act has been misunderstood by the Commissioner, who thinks that Kam-fa has been unchaste. He forces Kam-fa to redeem herself by committing suicide, but Kam-fa escapes in the night. In an ancient temple, she reunites Yan-kwai, who is also on the run because of the incident. They soon marry.After their marriage, Yan-kwai and Chow Ching joins the army. Kam-fa gives birth to the twins, Ting-shan and Kam-lin. Thirteen years later, Yan-kwai becomes a noted military commander who suppresses the Liu tribe. Yan-kwai returns to his village in disguise, suspecting that after all these years, Kam-fa may have been unfaithful to him. On his journey home, Yan-kwai meets Ting-shan and has a quarrel with him over the possession of a wild goose brought down by an arrow. During the incident, Ting-shan accidentally falls off a cliff, but Yan-kwai still does not know that Ting-shan is his son. Finally, Yan-kwai sees Kam -fa and learns that she has remained loyal and faithful to him. Their reunion takes place amidst mixed emotions of joy and sadness. (Extracted from the film brochure)
