内容介绍 :	To Mei-ying is a social butterfly in love with police detective Fong Sai-wah. Because of the relationship, Mei-ying urges her father Tat-sang, a pickpocke, to turn over a new leaf and hide away from the police in Jiangmen. Sai-wah's father, Wang-do, has gone on a long sojourn overseas, leaving his property under the care of younger brother Wang-tak. Before he dies, Wang-do leaves his last will to servant Wong Chung, instructing him to bring the will back home and execute it accordingly. On arriving in Jiangmen, Chung's wallet and the will are stolen by Tat-sang, who, in a moment of recklessness, discards the will. Chung hits on an ingenious plan, by persuading Tat-sang to impersonate the old man, and return with him to the village. When Sai-wah sees Tat-sang, he recognises him as the thief he has been pursuing and refuses to acknowledge him as his father. Mei-ying keeps her father's secret, while Wang-tak, who has long harboured a desire for Mei-ying, now nurses a grudge against his brother believing that he also desires Mei-ying.Wang-tak worsens the situation with slanderous talk. As a result, Sai-wah's mother starts to suspects that her husband craves for Mei- ying. Chung finally has to reveal the truth about the matter to clear up the confusion. In the absence of a will, Wang-tak refuses to surrender the property. Fortunately, the will has been found and returned. Wang-tak's plan to inherit the fortune is thus thwarted. Sai-wah and Mei-ying become husband and wife, their union blessed by Tat-sang. (Extracted from the film handbill.)
