内容介绍 :	Hon Man-fung, the imperial commissioner of seven provinces pays a visit to the south. Magistrate Ng Sau-yan arranges for his entourage to stay in the Sam Ching Kwun temple grounds. While on their journey, Old Lady Hon remembers back to sixteen years ago. Her husband was killed in an army rebellion and she had left her daughter Man-ang behind as she escaped the chaos with Man-fung. Now returning to the site of the disaster, she hopes that Man-fung and Magistrate Ng can search for Man-ang. Since no news of Man-ang has been received after so many years, the two men are at a loss where to start searching. Magistrate Ng's daughter, Mei-yuk, investigates on behalf of her father. Meanwhile, Man-fung's bodyguard, Siu Tin, suspects that there is a woman hiding in the temple grounds. He goes on nightly investigations and by chance, meets Man-ang, and falls in love with her at first sight. Man-ang comes by information that bandits Ching Fung and Ming Yuet plan to kill Man-fung, steal his treasures, and then put the blame on the abbot. Siu Tin engages the bandits in a struggle. Mei-yuk arrives at the scene and lends a hand, eventually capturing Ching Fung and Ming Yuet. After this event, Man-fung searches the temple and discovers the presence of Man-ang. Not knowing her real identity, Man-fung is given to believe that the abbot has kidnapped the girl and prepares to hand them over to the law. Siu Tin sets out to rescue his lover, Man-ang (Whether Man-ying and Man-fung are reunited is not known.) (Based on synopsis published in Wah Kiu Yat Po, 1948/10/26.)
