内容介绍 :	Embezzling company funds to speculate in gold, Lau Kwai-ling, a former minister, suffers heavy losses. Meanwhile, the shareholders demand their money back. To placate the shareholders, Kwai-ling persuades his brother- in-law, Ng Sam-sang, who has just come from the countryside to pretend to be a rich overseas Chinese intending to open an import-export company. Kwai-ling hopes to pull back the shareholders as prospective investors. Ng Yuk-chiu is offended by this blatant exploitation of his brother Sam-sang and goes uninvited to a party at the Lau home. However, he is held at bay, and meets social butterfly Lau Yu-kam, treated as an unending source of revenue by her foster mother Mrs Fong. Believing that Mrs Fong is a woman of means, Kwai-ling instructs Sam-sang to talk her into investing in his company. Mrs Fong, in turn, tries to seduce Sam-sang into parting with his money. Yu- kam initially tries to use Yuk-chiu as a means of extricating herself from the attentions of businessman Ma Hok-nin. However, when the two find themselves inside a car taking shelter from the rain, from an initial acquaintanceship, they begin to understand each other better. As a result, Yu-kam begins to reform herself. After seeing through Sam-sang's background, Mrs Fong and Kwai-ling reach an understanding to trick Hok-nin into investing in the fake company and to share equally in the profits . Sam-sang then tries to pull out of the duplicity, but is put under lock and key by Kwai-ling. The driver Ah Sing releases Sam-sang. Yuk-chiu leads a group of disgruntled shareholders to expose the scandal. Kwai- ling and Mrs Fong are delivered to the authorities. Hok-nin is taken away by his wife, while Yuk-chiu and Yu-kam walk away together to begin a new life as husband and wife. (Based on viewing of the film.)
