内容介绍 :	After the war, Leung Lang-yim and her grandfather take a ship back to Hong Kong. During the journey, Lang-yim meets the ship's accountant, Luk Ping, and they become close friends. On returning home, grandfather and granddaughter are looked after by Lang-yim's godfather, Tsang Pak-nin. Pak-nin introduces Lang-yim to a job in Robert's office. Robert attempts to rape Lang-yim, who fortunately escapes. Lang-yim's grandfather falls ill and dies. Lang-yim is next employed in the house of Old Master Fung as a domestic helper. Luk Ping is in fact Fung's nephew and he has come to Hong Kong to advance his career. Ping and Lang-yim become more intimate. Old Master Fung's concubine has a crush on Ping. Noticing this, the old man plans to have Ping marry Lang-yim and adopts Lang-yim as his goddaughter. Ping is then sent away on business. Fung arranges a farewell banquet-cum-engagement ceremony. Robert is the concubine's ex-boyfriend and he sees Lang-yim again on his visit to the Fung mansion. Robert and the concubine scheme to have Lang-yim banished from the house. That evening, after the banquet, Lang-yim agrees to meet Ping. Robert overhears. He steals into Lang-yim's room where he manages to drug her and rape her. Lang-yim wakes up, assuming it was Ping who made love to her. She becomes pregnant and this enrages Old Master Fung, who banishes her from the house. Not long after, Lang-yim gives birth to a son. When Ping returns, she visits him, bringing along her son. Ping is perplexed. At this juncture, Robert shoots the concubine as she refuses to be blackmailed by him. The Fung family thereby learns the truth of their conspiracy. Before she dies, she struggles with Robert who falls to his death.
