内容介绍 :	After serving 18 years of imprisonment in jail for killing his wife, robber Tiger Sheung escapes and looks for his son. Being pursued by prison warden Ngok Ning-ken, Tiger Sheung flees into the house of Judge Chu Yu-chai, who manages to persuade him to turn over a new leaf while offering him sanctuary. Later, the Sino- Japanese War breaks out. Judge Chu dies and bequeaths a fortune to Tiger Sheung. Several years later, he becomes a philanthropist and changes his name to Cheung Ko-shan. He runs factories and provides sustenance to refugees from war-torn areas. At this time, a prostitute Cho Chun-fong falls in love with a young man Sheung Nai-kin and gets pregnant. But Nai-kin suddenly disappears after their marriage. Chun-fong gives birth to a daughter. She is told by Nai-kin's friends , Mr and Mrs Fan Kat, that her husband is in fact a robber who has been caught and is serving a jail term. Chun-fong visits Nai-kin, leaving her daughter in the care of Fan Kat and his wife. However, Nai -kin has escaped from jail. Fan Kat writes to Chun-fong, telling her that her daughter is sick. In order to earn money to foot her daughter's medical bills, Chun-fong finds work in Ko-shan's factory. But Chun-fong is squeezed out by her colleagues and is sackScript Continuity She is forced to return to her old profession but is arrested by the police. Ko-shan takes pity on her by bailing her out and employing her as a housekeeper. The war spreads. One day , Ko-shan lifts up a fallen column with ease and saves the life of a woman trapped underneath. This extraordinary strength causes the suspicion of Ning-ken, now the chief of police. He begins to investigate Ko-shan. To prove that Ko -shan is actually Tiger Sheung, Ning-ken seeks to expose the tattoo on Ko-shan's chest. (Continued in part two) (Extracted from the film brochure)
