内容介绍 :	Miss Wong, who works during the day, lives in a room. Ah Fuk, who works at night, also lives in a room. However, both are unaware that they are being cheated by the landlady and renting and staying in the same room -- one during the day and the other at night. When they find out, a dispute arises. At this time, the landlord issues eviction notices. All the tenants are disillusioned with city life and decide to return to the Mainland. (Based on viewing of the film.) "Land is precious". An impoverished couple puts their child in a hospital that caters only for the rich. Without adequate savings to pay for the expense, the child is rejected and dies unattendScript Continuity The inhuman system of the hospital leads to this tragic end. (Based on viewing of the film.) "Complaints". A police superintendent keeps a mistress who bears him two daughters. Later, he abandons the mistress and the girls. Ten years later, the mistress goes to his house to demand money. It happens that his son returns home with his fiancee. To his horror , the superintendent discovers that the fiancee is his own daughter raised by the mistress. (Based on viewing of the film.) "Debts of love". Mr Au indulges in playing mahjong with friends. One day, one co-player does not turn up, so he forces his neighbour Mr Cheng to join their party. Mr Cheng is an engineer who has just been assigned a job to renew a piece of screw for a high-end colour printing machine. The fact that he put aside his job to play Mahjong has caused a delay in repairing the printing machine, which in turn has delayed the production of brand-name cards for a big textile shipment. It turns out that the loser of the whole process is Mr Au who is trading the textile. (Based on viewing of the film.) "The screw". Chan Sai-mei is married with a child, but after acquiring high honours in the imperial examinations, he is unwilling to give up fame and fortune, and he abandons his wife and child to marry the princess. In the end, the truth is revealed and he gets heavy punishment and his future is destroyScript Continuity (Based on viewing of the film.) "Royal relatives". Unemployed teacher Mr Fung commits robbery to get money to buy medicine for his sick child. He goes to the waterfront where he meets a man who is about to commit suicide. They spend the night talking. In the end, the man has renewed confidence to face life while Mr Fung decides to give himself up to the law. (Based on viewing of the film.) "Run for your life". An unscrupulous matchmaker, while maximising her own gains, matches a blind man with a mute girl. (Based on viewing of the film.) "Black market marriage". General Lau, commander of Lee Chi-shing's army, is a hedonist. On the eve of a great calamity befalling the nation, he seeks only to enjoy himself, forcing Chan Yuen-yuen, wife of Ng Sam-kwai, to stay with him . (Based on viewing of the film.) "The song of Chan Yuen-yuen". The staff of a store owned by an exploitative boss are forced by his wife into buying a lottery ticket. Unexpectedly, the ticket strikes first prize and the staff collectively share the reward and enjoy new life. (Based on viewing of the film.) " Dream of the little man". Two peasants from the same village bump into each other and chat for a while. One gets away leaving his hoe behind. The other then brings it along with him and wants to return it to his friend.
