内容介绍 :	Unemployed youth Lee Keung resorts to petty crimes to make a living. One day, an opium dealer contracts him and his associates, Ah Kam and Ah Sing, to smuggle opium. They are discovered by the police and a gun battle ensues. Ah Kam and Ah Sing are captured. Lee Keung , wounded, escapes with a large sum of money. As he hides out, he loses contact with his girlfriend Lai-zhen. Lai-zhen's mother becomes ill. In order to raise funds for medical expenses, she becomes a prostitute. After recovering from his wounds, Lee Keung sets out to lead a decent life. He gets to know Ah Nam, and also meets an old acquaintance, Mei-kam, who is a prostitute that used to love him. Ah Nam intends, with Mei Kam, to cheat Lee Keung of his money. Instead, Mei-kam and Lee Keung fall in love again and live togethr, arousing the hatred of Ah Nam. Then, Lee Keung meets Lai-zhen who, upon learning that he has a family , reluctantly leaves him. Ah Kam and Ah Sing serve their sentence and come out of jail. They get together with Lee Keung. However, the police are hot on their heels again after a robbery. When Ah Nam demands money from Mei-kam and is rejected, she informs the police of Ah Kam and Ah Sing's whereabouts and expose Lee Keung's former identity. The police arrive at Lee Keung's house to arrest him. Mei-kam and Ah Nam are killed in the melee, while Ah Sing too is shot dead. Lee Keung escapes once again. He goes to Lai-zhen and asks her to run away with him. Lai-zhen arranges to meet Lee Keung at the pier but before they are able to meet, Lee Keung is shot dead by police.
