内容介绍 :	The economy collapses in Shanghai. He Zhixin's company is on the verge of bankruptcy and creditors are knocking at the doors. At this point, a former typist of the company, Zhang Gengliang, comes to Zhizin for help, asking him to pretend to give him a job for the sake of appeasing his prospective father-in- law. Zhixin demands US$2000 in return, thereby relieving his company's financial problems. Pan Zhongfu, posing as a special government agent, devises a plan to cheat Gengliang of money and to take over Zhixin's mistress, Xue Manna. Zhongfu conspires with a fortune- teller, devising all kinds of plans and tricks. At the same time, Zhixin asks Manna to play up to Zhongfu, hoping to gain an advantage. From Manna's associate Xiao Li, Zhongfu gets his hands on a big sum of money with the use of a forged government document. However, both Manna and Xiao Li lose heavily in gold trading. Xiao Li is soon arrested and the main players rely on further falsehoods to get by. Finally, the truth is revealed and the various guises adopted by the players are exposed.
