内容介绍 :	A tree in the Kingdom of the Woods is much loved by the people, but the tyrant orders it to be cut down . A branch from the tree extracts itself and flees to the riverside where it meets Ah Suet, daughter of the village elder. Ah Suet asks a carpenter to sculpt the branch into the image of a boy. The tree-boy becomes alive and is given the name Big Tree. Meanwhile, the childless queen orders her agents to kidnap a boy from the village so that he may be brought up as the crown prince. Big Tree is kidnapped and brought to the palace. Feeling isolated and imprisoned, Big Tree tries to escape but is caught by the queen's secret agents again. The king soon discovers that Big Tree is not his flesh and blood. Big Tree is imprisoned and sentenced to death. The people revolt when they learn of Big Tree's plight. While the palace is being attacked, big Tree seizes the opportunity to escape. He flees into a tower where he uses hidden dynamite to blow up the palace. Finally, Big Tree returns to its original form of a tree. The people celebrate the coming of a new year around the tree. (Fok Tam, 'Seminar on Prince of the Woods', Arts and Funs, March 1950.)
