内容介绍 :	Millionaire Lam Tok is so miserly that he is loathe to spend money even on his own health. Consequently, when he falls ill, he is unable to recover and dies. His son, Ah Foo, being of the same miserly ilk as his father, is loathe to spend money on a lavish funeral. Not willing to see Ah Bo and Ah Zhen influenced by the bad example of their father, Ah Foo's sister-in-law proposes to bring the children up herself. Ah Foo readily agrees to it since it will lessen his expenditure. The children grow up to be socially responsible persons, well educated and generous. They disapprove of their father's behaviour and conspire with their classmates to make their father buy government bonds but fail. As war breaks out, enemy troops take Ah Foo as prisoner and torture him. Only then does Ah Foo realise the error of his miserly ways. Finally, he donates large sums of money to help in the country's defence.
