内容介绍 :	A woodcutter Chow Hin who is wrongly accused of theft and murder and is sentenced to death. His wife is reduced to begging in order to feed her mother-inlaw. At this point, a rich man, Chan, is attracted to Chow's wife. The mother-in-law forces her to marry Chan for the sake of money. After the marriage, Chow's wife refuses to make love to Chan in order to preserve her virtue. She also insists on returning to her mother-in-law's home once a month to serve her. One day, as she makes her monthly pilgrimage to her mother-inlaw's house, she meets none other than her former husband, Chow. On the day of Chow's execution, snow drops begin to fall in the summer month of June and Chow is spared his life. Hoping to reunite with his wife, Chow returns home only to discover that his wife has remarried. A violent confrontation thus ensues between Chow and Chan.
