内容介绍 : 800 soldiers followed orders to defend a warehouse in Shanghai as it came under Japanese attack. Episodes of their valiant defence include a soldier who jumps down a tall building with his body strapped with dynamite to be a human bomb killing over thirty Japanese soldiers; Lam Chun, one of the soldiers, who single-handedly forms a human shield to cover the movements of his comrades; and Lam Chiu, Lam Chun's brother, who climbs up the rooftop of the warehouse under enemy fire to raise the national flag. The film also tells the story of Yeung Tai-ming who only concerns himself with courting song girl Chan Kwai-lan and his son, Yeung Kai-shun, who is besotted by Kwai-lan's sister Yuk -lan. However, father and son soon realise the error of their ways. Tai-ming donates half his fortune to the war effort while his son, Kai-shun, joins the army to fight in the front. As for the 800 heroes, they fight on until ordered to retreat to the British concession in Shanghai, warmly applauded by the people of the city.
