内容介绍 :	Seventy-two Professions is a musical with all its dialogue sung rather than spoken. A rich merchant, Ho, recounts his life story to his spendthrift wife. It is a story of failure and misery, beginning with his attempt to pretend to be a Taoist master but is badly beaten up by his clients. Next, he masquerades as a teacher tricking some food off a student but is finally dismissed by the student's parents. He then masquerades as an opera actor and plays as tiger in the opera 'Wu Song Fights the Tiger' but his bumbles cause him to be fired. His next job as a wedding helper ends in dispute with the mistress-ofceremony over a red packet. Next, he attempts to be a dentist but finds himself pulling out the good tooth of his patient. He even tries to make a living out of captured savages from the mountains but ends up severely rebuked. On returning to his village, Ho resolves to work hard selling eggs and eventually becomes rich. Madam Ho, on listening to her husband's tales of woe resolves to be thrifty.
