|内容介绍 :||Cheung Kam-lai is an overseas graduate who opposes the tradition of arranged marriages. He and his friend Lee Tat-fu invest their money in a factory to shore up the economy. However, the traitorous businessman Lo Seong-man manipulates the market so that Chinese goods are too expensive for the citizenry to buy. In order to deal with Lo, Cheung hires the services of Lo's lover, social butterfly To-mei. Cheung becomes Lo's secretary so that he can get to know of any conspiracy that Lo may have hatched. However, To-mei and Cheung fall in love, arousing the jealousy of Lo. Lo successfully breaks up their relationship. A failure in love, Cheung becomes depressed but he finally recovers his spirits and resolves to fight Lo in the economic battlefield. Lacking money, Cheung persuades his father to invest but his father insists that Cheung returns to the village to marry. Cheung agrees. But before he returns home, he wants to see To-mei one last time. Not willing to see Cheung suffer any setback in his career, To-mei leaves. When Cheung returns home, he discovers that his wife-to-be is, in fact, To-mei.|
