内容介绍 :	Yanzhi and her father live together. One day Yanzhi meets the handsome E Qiuzhun and is attracted to him. Her friend Madam Wong teases her by saying that she could act as her matchmaker. When this is revealed to Madam Wong's lover Su Jie, he masquerades as E Qiuzhun and steals into Yanzhi's house at night, attempting to take liberties with Yanzhi. However, Yanzhi firmly rebuffs Su Jie, who leaves with a memento, an embroidered shoe. Yanzhi believes that the person she has rebuffed is E Qiuzhun. The embroidered shoe falls into the hands of a cad named Mao Da, who also steals into Yanzhi's house in the deep of night, hoping to make love to her while masquerading as E Qiuzhun. Mao Da is discovered by Yanzhi's father, who is killed as he pursues the intruder. The embroidered shoe is left behind, and the murder is blamed on E Qiuzhun. Initially convicted of the crime, E Qiuzhun has a retrial and is proven innocent. He and Yanzhi become man and wife.
