内容介绍 :	After her graduation, young girl Bai Lifen decides to go to the city to live with her sister Lihua. On the way, Lifen meets the itinerant trader Liang Mingsheng. Lifen arrives in her sister's home but discovers that her brother-in-laws agricultural business has collapsed. Forced to find work but unable to get it, Lifen meets Mingsheng again on the streets and decides to live with him for materialistic reason. Through him, Lifen gets to know Gu Peilin, manager of a business firm. Through Gu Peilin, Lifen is recommended to Guan Da's drama troupe where she becomes an actress. Lifen and Peilin become lovers when Mingsheng goes away on one of his trips. Peilin soon decides to divorce his wife. When large sums of money for which he is responsible is lost, Peilin flees to Singapore with Lifen. One day , Lifen chances to meet Guan Da and is introduced by Guan Da to join Zhang Daxiong's drama troupe where she becomes the star attraction. Meanwhile, Peilin is reduced to begging in the streets. Mingfeng comes in search of Lifen but gets into a jealous altercation with Zhang Daxiong over Li fen. Daxiong pulls out a gun and kills Mingsheng. Daxiong is arrested while. Lifen is deported. (Based on the film handbill.)
