内容介绍 :	Young man Cheng Kwok-leung meets Fen during a birthday party. Fen has just come to America to stay with her cousin. Because her cousin loves Kwok-leung, Fen at first rejects his love. However, Kwok-leung is unrelenting in his love, and has succeeded in inviting Fen to his graduation party. It troubles Fen as she know nothing about dancing and that she has no formal dress. The much-needed help comes when a sympathetic male servant steals a dress for her and teaches her how to dance. Kwok-leung extracts a promise from Fen of marriage before he leaves for further studies. When Fen's cousin learns of this, she becomes raged and forces Fen to break her promise. Financial hardship hits the family and the cousin's father kills himself. When the mother arranges for Fen to marry the son of a rich man, she leaves to look for Kwok-leung. Kwok-leung meanwhile, returns to San Francisco in search of Fen. Finally, the cousin marries the rich man while Kwok-leung and Fen are free to marry each other. (Extracted from the film brochure.)
